And what better way to reveal our affection for yummy food & delicious treats than by sharing the recipe of one of our all time favorite brazilian treats: Brigadeiros (also known as the Brazilian Chocolate Truffles).
If you haven’t tried these yet, wait not longer…grab your apron, look at the below list of ingredients and just follow the simple steps we are delighted to share with you today!!! We can assure you, it’s a must try & you will not regret it :):
Prep Time: 10-15 min
Cooking Time: 12 min
Ready in: 40-45 min
Ingredients: (for around 30 brigadeiros)
– 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (or 395g)
– 4 tbs of unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1 tbs of butter (abt 25g)
– 50g of chocolate sprinkles usually dark but you can also use milk or white
Note: you can replace the chocolate sparkles by shredded almonds, coconut, pistachios, cashew nuts…
Steps:
1° In a medium saucepan over medium heat, mix cocoa, butter & condensed milk.
2° Cook, stir, until thickened (about 10 min).
3° Remove from heat and let rest until cool enough to handle.
4° With a spoon take some of the mixture and start forming small balls with your hands.
5° Roll each ball in the shredded mix of your choice (chocolate sparked, coconut…)
6° Place each ball in a dessert plate and let the mixture chill completely before serving.
7° ENJOY!!!
